Treat yourself (and your mum!) to a mid-year getaway with this two night food, wine and music package.
Tickets are expected to sell fast for this event after 2009's successful 'Jazz in June' weekend so it is recommended you book early to secure your place. Then, once you've made the booking, you can slow the pace a little...
FRIDAY EVENING, 7 MAY: Arrive at your leisure on Friday afternoon in time for an evening end-of-week drink and canapés, followed by evening tapas. This evening has been specially designed to cater for later arrivals so you don't have to start the weekend by madly rushing to get out of work, get home, get ready and then get to the lodge. Take your time. Relaxation will be waiting for you.
SATURDAY, 8 MAY: Explore the vast property and enjoy some of the activities on offer. Savour a divine lunch and at the end of the day enjoy a sumptuous 7 course degustation dinner with matching Symphony Hill Wines. Symphony Hill Wines were awarded 4.5 stars in the respected James Halliday's Wine Companion for 2009 after having won numerous awards for their wines. Meet with the man behind the wines, Ewen Macpherson, and perhaps discover a new favourite in one of his bottles. The Spicers Peak Lodge kitchen team have also been well recognised with a number of awards and you will have the ultimate opportunity to understand why when you experience the degustation dinner. Renowned band 'Mood Swing' (with saxophonist) will have your toes tapping from 6.30pm until midnight with the delightful sounds of jazz music, covering all eras and styles.
SUNDAY, 9 MAY: Today is all about lingering and mellowing. Enjoy a gourmet breakfast or leisurely brunch and linger on for a long lunch on the deck where you will be entertained once again by 'Mood Swing' and their accompanying, talented saxophonist. Slow down and enjoy the moment, so take advantage of the extended late checkout which mean you won’t have to leave until 3pm.
